Ferrol-"Wallace Fountain"

The Fuente Wallace (Wallace Fountain) is the most beautiful fountain in Ferrol. It was bought in 1889 during the International Exposition in Paris. It was built by Charles Lebourg, and named Wallace for sir John Wallace, an English gentleman who donated some of these fountains to the city of Paris.


The fountain is sorrounded by some personalities who were of some importance for Ferrol.

Concepción Arenal (1820-1893). Writer, feminist and lawyer born in Ferrol. Our school received its name to honour her memory:

Well, and this is a nice seagull looking at a perfect parabola of equation y=-x^2 on the Wallace fountain of octogonal base:
